Last Day at the Stitch Festival 🥲
Finished set-up for our FIRST SHOW! At @thestitchfestival We're excited for the next few days ahead! We've been quietly churning away in our small corner of the internet for a couple of years slowly growing and growing, and now we're realising our range in a physical space! We're looking forward to meeting everyone, chatting about your upcoming projects and showing you all our great collection of tools to really get you going on your next sewing project! It's been busy in the wood shop the past few weeks getting ready for the @thestitchfestival (which starts tomorrow!) So much so I haven't been able to share with you all! So here's a sneak look back when all my little pressing soldiers lined up ready for assembly. When the hams were being stuffed with the shavings from all the woodwork to ensure we make as little wastage as possible! And when it all started to come together. Playing around with some more prototypes today, making a palm sized clapper with our signature coloured wood. Can you see the colour difference between fresh cut purple heart and older block! Amazing how vibrant it becomes! Thoughts? Would a palm sized clapper make a handy addition to your kit? Shall we add it to our full range?
Short on space? Or want something that's versatile? Our multi-curved edgeboard has many uses! 1. Curved edge, useful for curved seams finishing in a point to get into tight areas. 2. Pull out clapper, handy light clapper to help flatten stubborn seams. 3. Extra small curved edge, handy little area for tight circumference seams. 4. Sleeve head, help reduce shape your sleeve heads before inserting them into your garment. Collar board, use as a base to draw jackets over to aid in basting on collars. 5. Flat edgeboard, with a point at one end get into those tight straight seams for a crisp press. Made from steamed beech, sanded to a smooth finish, this is a perfect addition to your kit to be prepared for anything that comes your way in the workroom!
